DreamDictation collects minimal information necessary to provide the dictation practice service:

• Subscription Information: Purchase history and subscription status (handled by Apple's App Store)
• Study Progress: Local records of dictation history, error logs, and word libraries (stored locally on your device)
• No Personal Data: We do not collect names, email addresses, or student profiles on our servers

2. How We Use Your Information

• To manage your word libraries and dictation sessions
• To analyze your performance and suggest reviews (e.g., Ebbinghaus Memory curve)
• To process text from images using on-device OCR
• To sync your progress across your own devices (via iCloud if enabled)

3. Data Storage and Processing

• Local OCR Processing: Text recognition from textbooks or handwritten notes is performed entirely on your device using Apple's Vision Framework
• No Cloud Storage: We do not store your word lists, photos, or audio recordings on our servers
• Data Persistence: Your study data is stored locally using iOS SwiftData
• User Control: You can delete any word library or history record directly within the app

4. Photo Library Access

DreamDictation requests access to your photo library to:

• Import word lists from photos of textbooks or documents
• Analyze photos of written dictation for the "AI Check" feature

5. Camera Access

DreamDictation requests access to your camera to:

• Capture images of text for immediate import into word libraries
• Scan your handwritten dictation results for checking

Images processed by the camera are not saved to the photo library unless explicitly requested and are processed locally.

6. Third-Party Services

• Apple StoreKit: For handling premium subscriptions
• Apple Vision Framework: For on-device text recognition (OCR)
• Apple AVFoundation: For Text-to-Speech (TTS) audio generation

7. Children's Privacy

We recognize that DreamDictation is used by students. We adhere to strict privacy standards:

• We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13
• No data is shared with third-party advertisers
• All study content remains on the user's device

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access & Delete: Access all your study data within the app and delete it at any time
• Revoke Permissions: Manage camera and photo library access in iOS Settings
• Cancel Subscription: Manage your subscription via Apple ID settings

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy to reflect changes in our features. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the date at the top of this policy.
